Sebastian Bach is a true sheep man; he has protected his family but lost his herd in a tragic accident that he stayed to defend his friends from. Unfortunately, his friend did not survive, and he had to come to the sanctuary to overcome trauma. While he was in his family pasture and shelters some loose dogs broke in as a combined effort and attacked. Since the owners were only able to capture one of the dogs and send to animal control and Sebastian had lost his beloved friends and female companion they feared he was not safe. Upon request we immediately drove out and picked him up, tended to his minor injuries, cleaned him up and helped him calm down.
He has since cheered up and even comes up to people. He adores treats and sometimes even some pets. He “sheds” out his own wool when it’s time every year so he doesn’t even need a shearer! What an amazing sheep this guy is, but he was waiting for sheep friends. He was the only sheep currently and missed having a buddy of his own. Lucky for him someone who lived near by had a lonely sheep who needed a friend too! Sebastian had some meet and greet time and quickly found he not only liked hanging near donkeys but he also was happy to have another sheep around and get to know a new buddy. He was so happy when he was adopted and got to go run his new home with his friend!

Peepers is a sweet little lovebird who loved being around other birds but had never been hand tame or bonded with humans. He was given up due to his owners cancer diagnosis and inability to continue his care. When he first arrived he was insecure and unsure of everything. Over time he began to show great curiosity and interest in humans, with a lot of promise of potentially bonding with both people and other birds.
Peepers loves to cheep in the mornings and is a happy little bird. He’s a gorgeous little man who just wanted someone to give him a chance. He found the sweetest couple with an amazing bird room who had one single lovebird. They had lost their other lovebird due to old age after having rescued it years ago and were looking to rescue another and open their hearts once again. The timing couldn't have been more perfect and Peepers was eager to meet not only his human family but his new brother! Not only was he adopted by this lovely family and got a whole bird room, a brother, a loving mom and dad, and tons of travel plans to go with his family everywhere. He also got to come out of his shell! His brother taught him how things ran and how to engage with new items in the bird room, showing him the ropes, and he adored hitching a ride on his dad and "helping" him read. We couldn't be happier for Peepers and his adoption story :) |
